Maria is a proud member of Stone Soup Theatre, a company dedicated to creating quality, socially and politically relevant theatre for the New York Stage. Now in its sixth season, The Great Divide, Stone Soup has an established history of exploring important topics such as, immigration in American and the politics of privacy. Each seasons theme is explored through the revival of a groundbreaking play such as the New York premier of Gao Xingjians' The Other Shore and Valparaiso by Don DeLillo and an original piece conceived, work-shopped and written by company members.

As well as performing in several Stone Soup shows, Maria is also the co-author of Just the Front and Where You Now Shall Go. Maria’s commitment to Stone Soup extends to administrative responsibilities. From assisting with the content for the bi-annual newsletter to planning fundraising events she helps to ensure that Stone Soup will be an important member of the New York Theatre community for years to come.
